In this book I finally forgave Athena, and my heart also broke for her. The betrayals were painful and the losses brutal, but the hope and recovery were all worth it. It truly paints the vivid picture of the consequences of war. This tale is a mixture of so much hope, anguish, betrayal, loss and recovery. It’s wild people, Ines the false Queen is even more powerful than ever and is raging havoc all over the realms, the team are scattered all over but trying to make their way back to each other, because once they finally do, the reunion of a lifetime, the one that can save them from the mad reign of Ines happens and I couldn’t be happier. I was a bit disoriented when I picked up War of Mist to read, seeing it had almost been a year since I read Reign of Mist, so I went back to Reign of Mist and read a bit to familiarize myself with the many characters once again, and when I was good to go, I dove back into the adventurous and final journey in the Oremere series.
